Who We Are
We are Shanon and Shea Shumpert, the passionate founders of GWENS. We proudly lead a socially conscious group of women who firmly believe in the incredible potential of every woman. In recognizing the daunting challenges that women often encounter, we are committed to providing unwavering support to those in crisis. Join us in our mission to empower and uplift women from all walks of life.
Our Vision and Purpose
GWENS champions women in need. We partner with established charities to help expand their reach. Past funding recipients include Clara's House, Project Hope - Marillac St. Vincent Family Services, Connections for Abused Women and their Children (CAWC), the Well of Mercy, Sarah's Circle, Affinity, Brave Space Alliance, Neopolitan Lighthouse, &Rise, and Deborah's Place.
In 2024, our donors contributed over $20,000 to support our chosen charities.
Our Mission
GWENS strives to empower and support all women but primarily women in crisis. We host fundraising events to raise both funds and awareness while we network and socialize with each other -- in an all female setting -- where we can focus on our unique needs.
